The photos below are part of a trip to the Anchorage-Palmer area in 2004. I have been in Alaska a long time, but had never visted the Talkeetna Mountains, which are some of the most awesome mountains I have seen in the state. We also visited some areas around Portage Lake south of Anchorage that I had never been to.
