Malta is small island national, in the middle of the Mediterranean
Sea. Given its strategic position Malta has seen a variety rulers
in its long history. The first evidence of habitation dates
back to 5000 B.C., and since that time it has been ruled by
Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthigans, Romans, Arabs, and the Normans
of Sicily.
Modern-day Malta offer a glimpse of this long history, from
varied ancient ruins that dot its landscape, to the unique language
and customs of its people.
Malta is generally sunny and warm year-around, which makes
it an ideal spot to have fun in the sun, whether that means
sitting on the beach, snorkeling and scuba diving, or touring
the island in a Jeep safari.
